Welcome to the Holland Park State High School website. Our school is the home of triple E- Excellence, Enrichment and Extension.
With a current enrolment of 538 students we are in the unique position of being able to truly understand that every student is special and act on this with programs tailored to our student’s needs.
In 2012 we have many students studying at TAFE, University or completing school based Traineeships and Apprenticeships. We have students competing in the National and International sporting arena in gymnastics, diving and volleyball and yet they are enjoying being members of our school community while still being able to meet their study commitments through negotiated timetables.
In 2012, we are working with the theme, ‘do the right thing, not the easy thing’, and building a culture of thinking, with the focus on higher order thinking skills engaging students across the learning spectrum.
With an exciting year ahead including our continued involvement in the Digital Classrooms Project, our fabulous student trip to Germany, more building projects with shade structures and a music rehearsal facility and yet another year of volleyball success we are looking to celebrate the many and varied accomplishments of our students.
2011 Highlights
- Outstanding OP results - An OP1, 3 OP2, 3 OP3 in 2011 ( 3 OP1s in 2010)
- 87% OP 1-15 in 2011 (92% OP 1-15 )
- 99% Graduates obtained at least one VET qualification
- National Championships Volleyball December 2011 – Two Gold, One Silver
- NAPLAN results above/equal to national means
